Our History
Formitura is underpinned by the same commitment to quality that built the reputation of the team behind it. Back in 1998, Esti founded what was to become an award-winning designer rug company, Topfloor by Esti, based in the world’s premier interiors destination, Design Centre Chelsea Harbour. Esti has since become the go-to industry name for bespoke rug designs, and for good reason. Esti’s works can be found around the world, and include commissions for luxury residences, yachts and hotels.
With more than 20 years’ experience designing for interiors internationally, Esti has established an impressive, award-winning track record. Among her many accolades, she has picked up the Elle Decoration UKaward for British Design of the Year (2008),secured two Best of Year wins with the prestigious Interior Design Magazine, USA ( 2007 and 2010) and received the Best Flooring Product Award (2017) from Architizer+.
Our Story
Esti, the Creative Head of Formitura and the designer of the Candyland collection, is well-known for her sweet tooth. The only thing she loves as much as sweets? Her family, especially her adorable grandson.
Not so long ago, while indulging her passion for marshmallows, Esti had a brilliant idea. To create a range of furniture that looked good enough to eat. And, with her lively grandson in mind, Formitura’s first product - Marshmallow - was born. This fun, simple stool is elegant and lightweight, yet sturdy enough to survive years of playtime.
And so began the Formitura story...
